Water Cannons

Or rather a faulty window washer! If we got that girl on the bike it was more luck than skill!

Book Crossing - Da Vinci Code

I had never heard about the bookcrossing before Nomi spotted a copy of the Da Vinci Code in a doorway near to the river in Abingdon (At about 4pm), she'd heard about it but never actually found one, so I was delighted to see it was a book I'd never read, but always wanted to. So I picked it up. I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but as soon as I've finished that this'll be next on my list.

Subtle

Wonder if snogging was what got her the car... Of course I'm assuming it's a woman... Disturbingly it could be a man!

Caterpillar

How it got on a houseplant that we've had since we moved in is a mystery. I wonder what it's going to turn into?

Cocktail Fail

Surely the whole point of a virgin cocktail is for it to be non alcoholic?

Titty Cam on Stage 2

During the wait for prodigy the video camera guys decided to keep paning over the audience. Anyone who's ever been to a festival knows that this means all women flash their boobs the minute the camera falls on them. This time tho everyone wap doing it... Men and women alike. Whoever the camera fell on wap cheered if the showed their chest... men included. Or booed if they didn't :)

Prodigy

And I thought the Dragonforce turnout was big!

Lacuna Coil

First band of Download! And it's one of my all time favorites! :)

Packed Out Karaoke...

...or rather not.

Jerked All Over Nomi

Beef Jerky is the staple diet of the festival. Nomi doesn't know her own strength and ripped it open with such force it flew all over her!

Yet Again The Assholes At Orange Bugger Up A Perfectly Good Phone!

Oh such a joy I thought the W995 is out I can upgrade my phone again :-) This time I won't fall into the same trap by getting direct from Orange and it having mucked up software... I'll get it from Phones 4 U instead.

FAIL

It's had the software modded again!

This time it's really bothersome to me... before there was a workaround in the form of me blogging via email. Which actually turned out rather useful.

This time they've deleted the menu for RSS feeds... argh... why? Are these people that write the Orange software incompitent? Are they unable to add something without removing something else. I mean I'm sure that I'm in a minority here of people that use there phones like this. But why remove a manufacturers default feature?

I never had this problem on O2... or is it just coincidence that I switched to Orange when mobile phones started to get this complicated?

It's not Phones 4 Us fault (unlike the rather unhelpful people at the Orange store last time), they get given what they can sell. only hope that someone comes up with a new homebrew firmware sometime soon... I'll be watching this space for any news.

On a side note I've found an app that may help solve my woes (Not tested it tho).

What's In Your Left Pocket?

Question for the men really... as I know women don't ever use the pockets on trousers, most of the time because they're figure hugging, so it'd spoil the effect, but even sometimes because (This is pure madness) the pocket is fake, just a sown on bit of fabric on the outside of the trousers.

Anyways I digress... every man I know keeps his mobile in his left pocket, ready in a moments notice to make/take that important call/txt. I'd imagine that of the few that don't (I imagine them to be left handed) it's because their wallet is in the left, and phone in the right.

My question is though... what did you have in that pocket before the invention of the mobile (Or indeed purchase if you're too young to remember that dark age before mobiles)? I honestly can't remember, which is worrisome as it can only be 14 years ago... less than half my life ago that I got my first ever mobile. I must not remember, because it was indeed... nothing... nothing but my left hand when it was cold?

Edit: Thanks to my friend Matt for reminding me to post about this.

Real Life Tetris

Awesome bit of street performance... if I'd seen this being performed I'd just have chucked my wallet into the mans hat.

Carl Erik Rinsch

Carl Erik Rinsch is tipped to be the new director the the upcoming as yet unnamed Aliens film. Judging from his adverts he's going to be doing a lot of very good CGI work... I only hope the script can do it justice.

Here's some of his work:

Hot Wheels For Real

I had Hot Wheels as a kid... I was forever making massive loops from the top of the dining room table and down to the floor... impossibly large where the cars would never stay on the track... unless I pushed them... and then they'd shoot of the track at breakneck speed into the sofa... or my sister.

"Read then Watch" vs "Watch then Read"

It's a double edged sword isn't it. If you watch it then read it... You know the ending before you finish. Read it first, and inevitably you find the film lacking. There are few exceptions to this rule. So how do you do both the book and the film justice? I guess there isn't a way... Short of making good film adaptations. But that's just crazy talk.

Can you see it?

Not very stealth for its urban setting is it?
