Flag in the Window

Is this a weird semaphore or some foreign flag that looks epicly strange?

Strange Writing?

Found this strange sign at The Lights Theatre in Andover... I wonder what it says?

Caterpillar

How it got on a houseplant that we've had since we moved in is a mystery. I wonder what it's going to turn into?

Live Octopus

It's apparently a delicacy... Personally I'll try anything once, just to say I've done it. But this is bordering on the limit of what I'll try.

Hammock

For some totally bizarre reason there was a stand selling Hammocks at the Red Bull Air Race? I mean why? Nomi couldn't resist the opportunity to have a go though :-)

More Fruit? Sultanas vs Raisins

I know what the difference between a Sultana and a Raisin is, but what is the difference between a golden Raisin and a Sultana?

Barbie Paratrooper

Funny how some things just catch your eye, especially the unexpected. I mean footballs, tennis balls, Frisbees etc they all end up stuck on someones roof at some time or another, but a barbie? Must be one of those crack paratrooper barbies out on a secret mission. Or have I been watching Small Soldiers too much?

Crayfish?

Whilst sitting a the top of the waterfall this little fella crawled out for a look. I'm not sure what he is, but a Crayfish sounds the most plausible idea... to give you an idea of scale it's about 6" (15cm) long. We sat there and watched it for ages crawling along the weeds that were attached to the side of the waterfall... What it was doing we have no idea, but it was battling against a very strong current to crawl from the bottom of the waterfall to the top... didn't know Crayfish acted like Salmon :-)

Tour de Blackheath?

I'll have to find out exactly what it was but this morning as i drove through Blackheath hundreds of bikes along with a police escort rode past. Tailbacks were huge behind it... Wonder what they were all out for?

Night Flying

This picture doesn't do it justice... This is a wombat fitted with led's flying at night... Anyone not in the know would expect to be in the middle of a UFO invasion. Paul's going to make me a wing so i can build my own... It'll rival the Decotora trucks of Japan when i'm done :-)

Salt Mountain

Last time i was in germany we passed this... We're off to the same area again. Believe it or not this is rock salt for putting on icy roads. God know how big it is but it's a mountain in its own right. Why would anyone need this much salt?

Spezi

It's fiendishly hot here... Now beer is great for cooling down... But given the heat i'd soon be hammered... So another german drink satisfys my thirst... That's Spezi... It's a mix of orange juice and coke. It's really refreshing. Sadly you can't get it anywhere at home.

Interesting Flavours

Now i know that us english can be a little prudish when it comes to lifes necessities compared to europeans... But this is just god damn funny! Now as flavours go smack has gotta appeal to stoners... But the last one cracks me up... Can't decide if it's gerbil or garibaldi biscuit flavour. Whichever it is i'm not so sure it will appeal to the ladys so much as capt condoms ribbed :-)

Missing Bridge

Every day on the way to and from work I go over the new Blackfriars bridge, yet it's only just occured to me where the original one went. If you look out the window towards the Blackfriars road bridge in the water there's several pillars that made the original bridge, and at the London Bridge end theres a ornate abutment. I found out that it was removed because it simply couldn't handle the weight of modern trains, but i find it odd that they left so much behind when they rebuilt it, or more intrestingly why it wasn't built over the old one, instead of right next to it. Funny how London cahnges so much that there's no evidence left of the connection to the station or tracks either side left... in fact there's a big office block right where it should have been. Makes you wonder how different London looked back then, and how it will look in the future.
